PUNI 4 Year Old 2012 (Master of Malt) Whisky (47.1%)
Nose: wonderful, fresh, citrus/fruity
Palate: TBH I'm struggling on this - must be me tonight. Lovely taste, but I'm not getting notes as such, and the finish is coarse. I'm putting this down to me.
Amazing whisky, and what a Distillery in Italy! https://www.puni.com/en/
Fascinating hearing Sam Simmons of Master of Malt talk about bottling this Italian whisky, and making such an amazing point, that "It's a unique culture... such a small Country (Scotland) has over 140 grain and malt distilleries... most of them have survived over 200 years. It's incredible!"

Benromach 15 Year Old (43%)
Nose: Powerful, took a while to air. Settles to caramel, earthy more than peaty.
Palate: creamy and bitter, walnut.
Unusually not as smooth as other aged whiskys I've tried, and it's suggested peatiness isn't coming through for me.

CÚ Bòcan 12 Year Old Caribbean Cask
Nose: fresh! salty, slightly smokey, yet sweet
Palate: really easy to sip
I have a soft spot for Tomatin, they were the first whisky I bought when I moved to a town with a Whisky Shop, and it was on such great advice and recommendation from the proprietor.
Enjoying whisky is about stories, memories, and enjoying whatever you like drinking, however you like it, and Tomatin has all of this for me.
